Yep. That's me.

Not even a bad picture, if I do say so myself.  (Normally, I hide the pictures of me, so it must be doing something right.)

Anyway, here's a list of the writing related services that I offer.  Query first before sending me any materials.  Also, if you're still interested after reading everything below, please

Here's the link to the form. It will open in a new window.

EDITING SERVICES

Professional editing rates are something in the neighborhood of 3 cents a word.  With at least 250 words per page (double spaced, one inch margins, size 12 font), that's $7.50 a page; yes, it's expensive.  I don't charge nearly that much.  And, hey, I'm not going to lie, I'm not the greatest editor that you'll ever find.  But I edit people's work all the time.  Heck, I edit their stuff more than I edit my own.  (I wish I were kidding, but I'm not.)

So, if you need editing, I'm the gal to talk to.  My actual rates will vary depending on the project and what you want to see out of it.  Are you looking for a general edit of the "read over and tell me what needs fixed, where the plot holes are, who that strange character is that appears for a page and goes away..." variety?  Then chances are good that I'll just give you a nice, happy, round number, read it in email, and have a pretty quick response.  (Response time depends on length, of course, but if your story is under 10k, I can probably turn it around in about a week.)

If you need something way more in depth than that, like a line by line grammar, punctuation, etc, edit, well, that's going to be a little different.  Assuming you have a standard set up (see above), I'll charge $2 per page, PLUS expenses.  What are expenses, you ask?  Well, two things.  First of all, I need to do a line edit on real paper.  You know, kill a tree and all that stuff.  So you can either send me a printed copy, or I'll charge you to print an electronic file (prices range from 25 cents to $25, depending on length).  And, once it's done, I'll have to send it back to you.  So you'll have to pay for that, too.  (Max shipping charge within the US is $10, and I'll even use priority mail and insure it.  yay for a flat rate box) .  It's still way cheaper than the professional rate, but you'll get a professional job, I promise.

If you'd like to consider my services, please email me and query with project specifics.  (Length, type of editing requested, etc...)  We will agree on a price and then half of the payment will be due up front, and the other half due before I mail you your project.

 TYPING SERVICES?

Professional, quick, and affordable.  Have a hand written manuscript that just really needs typed?  Got Great-Aunt Myrtle's letters and you'd like them transcribed?  Uncle Harry's old audio letters? Hey, I can do that.

Let me know how much you have and what format it's in, and we'll discuss a price.  Usually I charge a flat rate of around $5 per typed page.  (If you want a ballpark figure, figure out how many handwritten pages you have, multiply that by $5 each, and it's usually less typed pages than handwritten ones).  Minimum of $10 per project, plus shipping to return your originals.  If you'd like to scan your originals and email me an image or pdf for transcription, I can do that to.

If you'd like to consider my services, please email me and query with project specifics.  (Length, type of editing requested, etc...)  We will agree on a price and then half of the payment will be due up front, and the other half due before I mail you your project.

SOMETHING ELSE?

If you need help with something else, chances are I can do it.

I have a background in journalism and have written for newspapers and websites in the past, in addition to my creative writing passion.  I can write press releases, make brochures or newsletters, ghostwrite, etc.  If you think there's a chance I can do it, there's a good possibility that I can.

Please message me with details and we'll see what we can work out.
